The SMaRT Lab for Structure, Mechanism and RNA Therapeutics is now officially open! Led by Sebastien Campagne, our new research group is focused on RNA metabolism and the development of innovative RNA therapeutics. With a particular focus on RNA splicing regulation, the SMaRT Lab is poised to make important contributions to the understanding of this crucial process, and to develop new approaches for treating diseases that are caused by splicing errors. Sebastien Campagne was selected to lead the SMaRT Lab after a call from the IECB, and brings with him a wealth of experience and expertise in the field of RNA biology. His work has been published in numerous high-impact journals, and he has a track record of leading successful research efforts. We hope the opening of the SMaRT Lab will benefit to the field of RNA biology, and we look forward to the groundbreaking discoveries and new therapeutics that will hopefully emerge from this exciting new research group.
